Faisal Barafi

After beginning his career as a dental technician, Faisal spent five years developing a strong technical foundation before following his passion for patient care and completing a Bachelor of Oral Health at the University of Newcastle. He is now dual-qualified as both a Dental Hygienist and Oral Health Therapist, allowing him to provide comprehensive preventive and restorative care for both children and adults.

Since joining Holdsworth House Dental in 2024, Faisal has become a valued part of the clinical team. Patients appreciate his calm manner, gentle touch, and ability to make appointments feel relaxed and unhurried. His approach to dentistry is guided by genuine empathy for patients and shaped by volunteer work in Cambodia and outreach visits to schools and hospitals - experiences that deepened his commitment to accessible, patient-centred care.

Faisal is passionate about helping patients feel confident in maintaining their oral health and takes pride in creating a supportive environment, especially for those who may feel anxious about dental treatment. He enjoys building long-term relationships with families and seeing the positive impact of preventive care over time.

Outside the clinic, Faisal enjoys travelling, exploring new cuisines, and spending time with friends and family. He recently welcomed his first child, a baby boy, and is embracing the joys and challenges of fatherhood with the same warmth and patience he brings to his work.
